India’s food grain production rose five times over six decades (according to 2016 government data) and non-GM seeds have contributed to this, GM technology has zero contribution in this. As of 2021, several countries including Russia, Italy, China, have banned or prohibited GMOs, Under the Environment Protection Act, 1986, planting unapproved GM seed varieties can attract a five-year jail term and a fine of up to 1 lakh.

With Monsanto controlling food supply (majorly in the US) with genetically engineered products (and politicians in its back pocket), Monsanto continues to exert control and influence over agriculture and human health, causing damaging effects on human health.
